Halloween Parade!

It’s that time of year: bonfires, chilly weather (finally), pumpkin picking, and…Halloween!

We’re so excited to announce our float theme: the 3-Mile House!

The 3-Mile House is a historical building, now burned down, with a spooky reputation…it was one of the most haunted locations in Southern Illinois. What better way to celebrate the history of our state than a local and Halloween-themed location?!

Details can be found on the attached flyer. The Boosters and Scott Credit Union are working hard to create an amazing float for the parade, and we want you to be a part of the production! Dress up as a creepy spirit (see examples on the flyer–get creative!) or reach out to your teacher, as the first 100 students to request it will receive a ghost balloon! Ask your teacher for information!

Trivia Night 2018: A Night at the Movies

We’re proud to introduce our highly anticipated Trivia Night Fundraiser! You’re invited…

 Night at the Movies Trivia Night

Friday, November 2

7pm-10pm (doors open at 6:30pm)

EHS Commons

This is a family-friendly event, open to parents, students and anyone who would like to support the District 7 Orchestra Program!  Pricing is $100 for a table of 8, or $15 per person.  You can register an entire table or as individual players.

Participants may bring their own snacks and NON-ALCOHOLIC beverages.

Dress up and decorate your table in the theme of your favorite movie.  A prize will be awarded for the “Best Dressed/Decorated Table”! Prizes will also be awarded to tables with the best trivia scores!

We will have games and a raffle including 4 Fox Club tickets (including VIP parking) to see ALADDIN at the Fabulous Fox Theater!

Registration can be done online via the EOB shop or by returning the attached Registration Form to any of the District 7 orchestra teachers. Find the form at the bottom of this post!

Would you like to make a donation to make this event a success?  Here’s how:

 Requested Donations for our raffle baskets are listed online at our Sign Up Genius (click there).  Just click on the item you would like to donate and send your donation in to your orchestra teacher.  Thank you in advance for your help!

2018-19 T-Shirts and Hoodies are Live!

Welcome back, Orchestra Family!

We are happy to announce that the order forms for the 2018-19 shirts and hoodies are now available! Teachers will be passing out paper forms in class in the upcoming weeks, and the online shop at http://shop.orchestraboosters.com is live and ready to take orders. We are so excited to get back into the school year–many exciting things are in the works!

Orders are DUE SEPTEMBER 22. Products will be distributed the week of OCTOBER 22–that’s before the Halloween parade! All the designs of the shirts and hoodies are the same this year, instead of different colors for different schools, like last year–we are all one big family, after all! If you need another paper form, you can find it at the bottom of this post–feel free to print a new one and bring it in to the teachers.
